Located close approximately to the Salalah international airport , and with easy access, presented the supreme location to build the new complex named Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Recreation.

The new sport complex in Salalah has conceived with the following features to serve as a sports and cultural hub enhancing both the physical and mental strengths of the populace.

1- Cultural facilities ; consists of museums, exhibitions to enable the new generation of the nation not to lose touch with their roots and heritage and at the same time to cherish and continue to encourage the Omani environment .

2- Learning modules comprise of auditoriums, classrooms and E- library and computer centers, illustrating scientific and technical knowhow to encourage youth of the region, to further their innovation skills through simplified means.

3- Amusement/Recreation Activities; A modern 6 lane bowling alley, electronic games section, cafeteria and various open areas for gathering as part of entertaining fun loving.

4- Sport Activities including; half Olympic size swimming pool halls, multi- sport halls and central assembly hall that can be a multifunctional space to accommodate indoor sport activities as well as stage for functions accommodating 1700 spectators/occupancy, with automated bleacher seating, gymnasium, spa, jogging tracks both for men and women separately. All sport facilities to be designed as per the international standards and relevant sport federations.
