MAHATMA MANDIR- DANDI KUTIR, GANDHINAGAR  Back

The Mahatma Mandir Museum Named as Dandi Kutir , has been constructed, to Celebrate the life and ideology of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and his principles of social justice, non-violence (Ahimsa) and Satyagraha.

The museum is a unique architectural and experiential edifice providing visitors a forward-looking space to contemplate Gandhian principles and reflect on singular and collective futures. Spread over 48 acres of land, Mahatma Mandir is a convention cum exhibition center and a memorial. Inspired by the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and built over 15 acres of land, the state of the art Memorial has a concrete dome structure representing salt mound, and houses a Mahatma Museum, library and research center.

The Museum building which explains the life of the Mahatma using modern day technologies equipped with latest light, sound and projection technologies like 4d virtual reality, 3d holography, 3d Transparent screen Projection, Digital LED Floor, Curve Screen LED, Laser Plasma technology, 3D mapping and Interactive touch screen kiosk to showcase life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi in various ways.

The entire narrative being done in the Project was using an Audio Guide using wireless and sensors technology.

Additionally there is a Cable Stay Bridge consists of a nonlinear structure and required special software to design the cantilevered bridge with a Wind Mill Structure on top.

Also there is the Gandhi Garden, Convention roof Structure and Massive Charkha structures been placed on the Greens. The Museum project was successfully completed in record time of 7 months and inaugurated by Honorable P.M. Shri. Narendra Modi ji.
